Terms of Service
Terms governing use of dsaveil.io and the Solo Free API tier.
Controller
Declade UG (in Gründung), [email protected].
1. Website Use
These terms govern your use of dsaveil.io — browsing the website, reading documentation and blog posts, submitting the contact form, joining the waitlist, and creating a Solo Free account. By using the site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the site.
2. Account Creation
Creating a Solo Free account is email-only; no password is collected at any stage. After you submit your email and accept these terms and the Privacy Policy, we send you a single-use verification link (valid 24 hours) via Resend. The verification token is single-use, valid 24 hours, and stored in volatile server memory (lost on server restart). On verification, we create a Supabase Auth user record, provision your customer record, and our gateway generates your DSA API key. The raw API key is emailed to you once via Resend; the database stores only a SHA-256 hash of the key and a 12-character prefix. The raw key is not retained after delivery and is never displayed in the web UI. Subsequent logins use your API key to trigger a Supabase Auth magic link, which establishes the session. You are responsible for keeping your email inbox and your DSA API key confidential.
3. Solo Free API Usage
Solo Free includes up to 500 requests per month against the hosted gateway. Solo Free is bring-your-own-key (BYOK): your upstream LLM API key (e.g., Anthropic, OpenAI, Mistral) flows through our gateway to your chosen model provider on a per-request basis. We do not store your upstream LLM API key. The monthly request cap is enforced at the gateway. Exceeding the cap returns an error; usage resets at the start of each calendar month.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use dsaveil.io or the Solo Free API to: (a) submit or generate content that is illegal under the laws of Germany or the European Union; (b) attempt to bypass the gateway's authentication, rate limiting, or tenancy controls; (c) scrape the website in a manner that interferes with service for other users; or (d) attempt to extract the raw API key of another account holder. Source-available components of The Veil platform may be inspected and evaluated in accordance with the license published on the repository.
5. Service Availability
Solo Free is provided on a best-effort basis without a service-level agreement, without an uptime guarantee, and with no guarantee of backwards compatibility across gateway versions. Planned and unplanned interruptions are possible. We will make reasonable efforts to communicate material disruptions via the website or to the email on file.
6. Changes to These Terms
These terms are a v1.0 draft and will be revised. Material changes will be reflected in the version number and date printed at the bottom of this page. Continued use of the site after a revision constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
7. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules. The specific place of jurisdiction will be fixed upon completion of the Declade UG registration with the German commercial register (Handelsregister).
